While railcar vibration is beneficial to speeding up railcar unloading, there is no compromise when it comes to the safety of railcar operators tasked with inserting and removing heavy railcar vibrators and brackets from the pockets of hopper cars. Most vibrator and wedge configurations range between 65 and 85 lb with some even heavier, increasing the chances of operator injury.

The recently patented Rhino Railcar Vibrator Lifter from Door Demon takes railcar operators out of harm’s way. The Rhino is designed with an air-over-hydraulic system that safely maneuvers the railcar vibrator and bracket assembly into and out of the railcar vibrator pocket with simple lever controls.

The vibrator operates off the same pneumatic line, allowing the user to simply switch air power from the Rhino’s hydraulics to the railcar vibrator, increasing both safety and productivity. Custom-designed brackets allow the lifter to be used with roller and piston vibrators.
